Only over 1 week late….
Oh, what a day! I had a long list of stations to visit and a good plan to change here, there and everywhere. Out of Euston on the Overground, Hendon to Mitcham on ThamesLink and Zone 1 on the Underground.
Like all good plans, it failed….badly. I didn’t check the train line status or planned engineering works, rooking mistake.
ThamesLink between Luton and St Pancras ‘broke’, which meant most services were cancelled or delayed, and the Overground between Euston and Kilburn High Road was planned engineering works. Another ThamesLink attempt failed!
So as I boarded my Northern line train, the plan was reworked:
Northern line – change at Moorgate for Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines – Aldgate East

District line – Victoria

Victoria line – Green Park

Jubilee line – change at Bond St – Central line – Marble Arch

Central line – White City

Central line back – Notting Hill Gate – change for District line – High Street Kensington

District line – Kensington Olympia – Yes, I have already been here, but on an Overground train, not a Tube train – They were no red Underground roundels, so here is the orange Overground roundel

Back on District line – Earl’s Court – change for – West Kensington

Walk to West Brompton – Again, I have been here before on both an Underground and Overground train, but forgot to take photo of the Overground roundel.

Overground – Clapham Junction – South Western Railway – Queenstown Road

South Western Railway – London Waterloo

And that’s when I thought I was done for the day. As I was sitting in Pret A Manger, watching the departure boards, I noticed a Twickenham service calling at Kingston leaving in 5 minutes. I quickly packed up, grabbed my tea and headed for platform 2.
South Western Railway – Kingston

Now my day was really over, home time!
Here is the vlog – Oh well, new plan!
I am sorry this is so late, I hope to get them out quicker than this in future! I have another day of travel planned on Friday, so stay tuned for that!
